Assistance Program for Refugees and internally displaced persons

Program of assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons, which fills the physical, social and spiritual needs of people affected by war and social upheaval. This movement is an initiative of the Mission Eurasia team and has been active in several post-Soviet states for many years.

With the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the main focus of the program is to help the Ukrainian people. Responding to this challenge, this ministry covers Ukraine, Poland and Moldova.

Directions

Our Program is a Manifestation of Holistic Care for War-Affected People

The key areas of focus are:

  • Assistance in evacuation from the war zone
  • Support for internally displaced persons and refugees in finding a place to live
  • Distribution of food parcels
  • Assistance in providing internally displaced persons and refugees with basic necessities, warm clothes, personal hygiene products, heating and energy resources
  • Spiritual support for people: - providing Holy Scripture and Christian literature, including children's literature, counsellor's assistance and assistance of specialists in war traumas
    - organizing special meetings to support war-affected people
  • Training church ministers, volunteers, educators and team leaders to show support for the victims of war and to build Christian communities that can embrace those who are suffering

What we have already done in the program

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our team and partners have been active in Ukraine, Poland and Moldova, responding to the needs of the suffering Ukrainian people. In these countries we:

  • Transferred 1,100,000 editions of Scripture, as well as 1,090,000 editions of Christian literature
  • Conducted 344 summer projects for 21,540 refugees and displaced children
  • Supported 390,700 refugees and IDPs physically, spiritually and emotionally through iCare's crisis ministry centres
  • Mobilized 3,500 volunteers to work in crisis centres, trained and prepared them

How, together with you, can we do more?

The aid program is a care act for refugees. If you are not indifferent and want to help those who are in special need, we invite you to do so. Perhaps you will be encouraged by the example of Dmitry from Kyiv, who recently found out that this autumn and winter many people will receive high-quality and economical heaters as part of the program. Dmytro learned from us the cost price of one such heater and offered to pay for its manufacture. Already in a fortnight we installed a heater in the Kharkiv region, in a house without heating system.

We will gladly accept your financial, prayer, volunteer help.

Contact us using the feedback option on the website, share with us what you are willing to help with and we will accept your help gratefully and considering resposibility before God .
