Preparing Leaders for Summer Ministry

The Empower-2022 conference was held in Moldova. This training platform brought together over 130 participants and leaders from 10 cities across the country. 23 teams were trained, coached and spent time in fellowship and worshipping God together.

"Such conferences are necessary for young Christians to share experiences, receive practical training, gain skills in developing ministry to teens* and young adults during the summer, and of course new knowledge. There is a need to be filled before they themselves can serve others. They need to come together and start interacting with each other, further keeping in touch." (Nastya from "Church Without Walls" (Chisinau), leader of the event program).

Ewald, the ministry leader: "This conference is important for young leaders to take a fresh look at their ministry to children and youth, generate new ideas, and be prepared to effectively conduct summer activities."

"This is my first time at an event like this and I want to meet others who minister to children and youth to gain new experiences, get ideas and learn something and use it in ministry. This summer I plan to start ministry in one city with 150 children and youth." (Ilya, Young Life ministry leader, conference participant).
Each team served 150 children during the summer, which means that about 3500 children and teenagers* heard the Gospel in "their own" language. Many of them are refugee children from Ukraine who are now in Moldova and need support, hope and the message about Christ!
