In many cities, power outages last up to 16 hours a day, and people's lives become a daily emergency. Without electricity, it is difficult to cook food, stay warm, work, and rest. People are forced to adjust their day to constantly changing schedules. A hot meal cooked in a Polish kitchen became a real joy for Korosten residents on a day without light and heat. The \u00abKhlib Zhytya\u00bb (Bread of Life) bakery also joined the event, providing people with freshly baked bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The story of Mrs Natalia, who came from Kyiv, was particularly disturbing. In the capital, the disconnections are even longer, and the storms are much worse. She says she feels calmer in Korosteni, but her pension is hardly enough to cover the essentials. Mrs. Natalia admitted that she had not eaten meat for many months and thanked her for the warm welcome and support. They received toys and the \u00abBible in Action,\u00bb which made them happy, and they were cheering, for some, it meant more than a bowl of hot food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the midst of darkness and hardship, people survive and get by with mutual support.
